The present study aims to examine the "El Ele" textbooks taught in preschool education in Turkey and the "Oxford Activity Book for Children" books used at the same level of education in the United States (USA) in terms of language teaching. This study was designed in qualitative research and the document analysis technique was used. The data were collected under three main themes: visual design, learning areas, contents in line with the thematic framework, and a comparison was made in line with these themes. At the end of the study, it was seen that the subjects covered in the textbooks taught in both countries were prepared from easy to difficult and simple to complex. In addition, it has been determined that the textbooks taught in the preschool period in America are richer in visual design than the textbooks taught in Turkey. Although learning areas are based on basic skills in both countries, they differ structurally. It has been determined that the textbooks taught in America have richer and more diverse content in terms of content layout than the textbooks taught in Turkey.
