Abstract

There are many non-profit organizations in Turkey. These usually consist of associations, foundations, trade unions and many other organizations. Non-profit organizations generally operate on a voluntary basis. These organizations, whose main purpose is not to make a profit, are also used as communication channels with society in a way. Public relations is a tool that responds to the needs of people in general, examines the relations of individuals with each other, and presents the attitudes and characteristics of institutions and organizations to the common game.

Social media, which is used as the most effective communication tool today, appeals to a wide audience. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and web pages, which are used as social media tools, are used as the most effective public relations tools. Non-profit organizations also use social media, which has an important place in these public relations, to a great extent. Associations, foundations, and unions share their important developments and activities on their websites and provide information to their members and the public.
