The aim of this research is to examine the opinions of teachers working in special education schools about the problems they encounter in the distance education process and the solution to the problems. In accordance with this purpose; The problems faced by the teachers working in special education schools during the distance education process and the opinions of the teachers about the solution to these problems were taken. The research was carried out in the phenomenological design, which is one of the qualitative research designs, and the interview technique was used to collect the qualitative data. The study group of the research consists of 29 teachers working in special education practice schools. The data of the research were collected in November-December 2021. The research data were subjected to content analysis. In the research, it was determined that the teachers had problems in executing the needs of their students with special needs through distance education and that the materials and information technologies used were not suitable for distance education; It has been found that teachers face significant difficulties in providing motivation. It has been observed that teachers cannot transfer many skills that they apply in face-to-face education to students in the distance education process.
