Being the first source of information about people's lives; mythology, being mystical and attractive, has a key role in founding the identity of nations. This factor that constitutes the identity has been passed through generation to generation and has reached the present day. While mythology has been transferred from generation to generation; it has made the artist and the branches of art such as literature, music, painting tool to themselves.
Mythology, which hadn’t been known by the scientific world until the 19th century, was first recognized as Greek Mythology; ın the 20th century, it was accepted that every society has a mythological past that belonged to themselves. Until the centuries we are in, many artists have had mythological stories in their artworks, revived the stories, illustrated them, and turned them into music. And also, some artists have created their own mythological characters with their own stories and own imaginations. Also, Turkish mythology is used among modern Turkish artists. Ayşegül Yeşilnil combined- tradition, figures, colors, and jazz music with mythology especially while she created her own Gods. In this study, the works of Ayşegül Yeşilnil, who have an important place in Turkish culture, were examined by using the literature review model, one of the qualitative research methods.
