INVESTIGATION OF THE MANAGEMENT STYLES DISPLAYED BY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS ACCORDING TO VARIOUS VARIABLES

This study, aimed to examine the management styles exhibited by school administrators according to teachers' perceptions. . “The Scale of Management Styles Displayed by School Administrators” developed by Asar (2021) was used. The scale determines 3 different management styles: Authoritarian management style, Democratic management style, and Irrelevant management style. The descriptive survey method, which is one of the general survey methods, was used. The study group consists of 347 teachers working in public and private schools affiliated with national education in the 2021-2022 academic year. The Independent Sample t-test, which is one of the parametric tests, was used for independent pairwise comparisons, and the One Way Anova test was used for THE comparison of groups with more than two. Tukey HSD test was used to determine the source of the differences in the comparison of groups with more than two. Management styles exhibited by managers; authoritarian management style (x̄=3.37), irrelevant management style (x̄=3.72), and democratic management style (x̄=3.34). While there was no significant difference in terms of gender, age, and educational status in the study, significant differences were found in terms of school level, professional seniority, and school types. It can be said that teachers' perceptions of school administrators' management styles are high.
