Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the level of the primary school teachers' attitude towards distance education primary school live (online) lessons and whether it differs according to various variables. A descriptive survey model was used in the research. The universe of the research; In the public schools of Avcılar, Beylikdüzü, and Esenyurt districts on the European side of Istanbul, there are primary school teachers working in the 2021-2022 academic year. 268 primary school teachers were selected from this  primary school teacher by a simple random sampling method. "Attitude Questionnaire of Primary school teachers towards Distance Education Primary School Live (online) Lessons" and Personal Information Form, prepared by the researchers, were used as data collection tools. As a result of the data analysis, it was determined that the attitude of the classroom teachers towards the distance education primary school live (online) lessons with respect to following variables  gender, age, marital status, number of dependent children by marital status, tenure at the school, education status, income status, the status of receiving courses, seminars, in-service training etc. related to live (online) lesson practices, using the Education Information Network (EBA) before the epidemic, and live (online) lessons,  the status of  getting presentations, seminars, video broadcasts, etc. from any digital platform before the epidemic,  does not show a significant difference. The attitude of primary school teachers towards distance education primary school live lessons differs significantly according to the variable of professional seniority. This finding shows that professional seniority has different effects on increasing the attitude of primary school teachers towards distance education primary school live lessons. It is seen that those who have the highest score for the attitude of the primary school teachers towards the distance education primary school live lessons are those with 6-10 years of professional seniority, followed by those with professional seniority of 5 years or less and those with 11-15 years of professional seniority. It is seen that the ones with the lowest scores for the distance education primary school live lessons of the primary school teachers are those with 20 years and more professional seniority.
