Abstract

This study; was aimed to determine what kind of choices teachers make while buying a car. Within the scope of the study, two separate game problems were posed. The first game problem is a zero-sum game that expresses the relative position of rival firms based on teachers' opinions. The second game problem is the non-zero-sum game, which analyzes the extent to which both firms meet the expectations of teachers.

The aim to be achieved as a result of game problems is to determine the features that companies will highlight when an advertising campaign is made for teachers. Therefore, for in-game problems, the strategies will correspond to the pre-determined criteria.

According to the zero-sum game analysis, the Fiat brand is more accessible to teachers and offers better hardware options than other brands when the price advantage is taken into account.

According to the non-zero-sum game matrix prepared according to the expectations of the users, it can be said that the Fiat brand meets the expectations of the sample group with its hardware features. On the other hand, THE Toyota brand is above the expectations of the sample group with the price and promotion features determined as the D strategy.

If it is possible to change the decision to be made, the behavior to be implemented, according to what someone else is doing or will do, then we need to give the solution to these situations with game theory.
