The Dede Korkut Stories occupy an important place among the narrative types in Turkish literature. Literary works become immortal as they reflect the values and cultures of societies carying from the past to the future. The Dede Korkut Stories, among the rare works that have come from the past to the present in our literature, make symbolic narratives besides explaining in a literary language the cultural characteristics belong to the society in which they came out. In this study, the story named "Duha Koca Son Deli Dumrul Boyu" from The Dede Korkut Stories, which has an important place in the Turkish narrative tradition, is examined, and in the narrative of "Duha Koca Son Deli Dumrul Boyu", in the narrative the story is tried to be resolved in terms of structure and theme as the narrative is analyzed through the protagonist Deli Dumrul. In the narrative of Deli Dumrul, one of the first stories that symbolizes the transition of the Turks to Islam, the narrative was evaluated in terms of structure and theme by focusing on the conflict of the past and the present.
