MINIATURE IN ISLAMIC ART

Abstract

Communities and countries that have embraced Islam generally have a common thought and perception structure. This similarity is observed in every aspect of art. Therefore, they expressed art in similar ways. The Islamic world has produced very valuable works in the arts of painting, writing, miniature and decoration as well as in architecture. When talking about Islamic art, it is known that it is the common art of all countries affiliated with the religion of Islam, not a particular community. Western sources have observed Turkish art under the influence of Islamic art. Painting and sculpture occupy a very limited place in Islamic art. In Islamic art, it is predominant as painting, ornament or miniature. It is known that the depiction of the human figure in the Quran is avoided. However, other than the Arab community, some other Islamic countries did not hesitate on behalf of the art of painting. Miniature art is a branch of art born from commentary.
