ARCHITECTURAL DOCUMENTATION AND CONSERVATION PROBLEMS OF SYNAGOGUE STRUCTURE IN DIYARBAKIR CERMIK, TURKEY

Abstract

Researches conducted in Çermik revealed that there is a historical synagogue structure. The existence of a 600-year-old synagogue with an unknown name is mentioned only in very few studies.
The aim of this study is to provide architectural documentation of the synagogue structure as a cultural asset and draw attention for its preservation, in other words, to raise awareness about the synagogue structure of an unknown name.
As a result; the current situation of the synagogue where the architectural documentation is documented and the conservation problems of the building were mentioned and suggestions were made for the conservation works of the historic building
