Since the second half of the 20th Century, countless innovation took place with the consistent development and usage popularity of computer technologies. Artificial intelligence Technologies which facilitates processes, saves energy and time, develop high added value product and services and enables maximum productivity with a minimum error are one of type of the above-mentioned innovations. The artificial intelligence which is commonly used by automotive, health, food and construction industries is also used by the fashion industry more often day by day. Cognitive computing as being one of the artificial intelligence technologies are the systems used in order to draw meaningful conclusions from unclassified and big data groups by imitating human intelligence. Today the number of unclassified data in increasing on a daily basis and different industries are trying to use this data in order to make a positive impact on their sectoral operations. The fashion industry is also benefiting from cognitive computing to transform data into meaningful and working structures.
This study aims to explain the new cognitive computing technologies used in the fashion sector by using sectoral cases. In order to increase the understandability of the cases and have a clear aspect, classification was made under 6 headings by taking into account the current process of the fashion industry. Each heading offers a case study on the usage of cognitive computing in the fashion industry. The research is finalized with the inclusion of deviations.
