This study aims to examine the issues related to nurses' hygiene responsibilities. The main function of the nurse is care. While performing this duty, the nurse works as a patient-centred. For this, it uses its decision making ability. Because, by determining the needs of the patient, plans and performs the necessary applications to meet this need. The nurse determines the health and care needs with a holistic action style to protect and improve health and exists in the healing process. The most important issue to be considered for this is the patient's hygiene. Because the nurse also applies special treatments to the patient in the care-giving processes and works for the patient's social-emotional well-being. An important mission of the nurse is to provide education to improve and protect the health of the individual, family and society and to provide the patient with the right behavior models. It also informs the patient and patient family about changes in health, treatment and lifestyle.
Nurses must protect both their own health and patients' health. The main factor of this is cleaning and hygiene. Here, it is not only meant that the body is clean but also every object touched and the cleanliness of the environment. Personal hygiene and care are vital, especially inpatient care. It is known that patient care will be more accurate with the hygiene rules applied. The nurse researches learn and apply new information to provide better care and service. Nurses are first the managers of the individual care plans they implement. The nurse protects the patient by preventing physical and chemical injuries. In the role of defending the patient, the nurse helps the patient in expressing the rights of the patient whenever necessary. Therefore, in this article, nurses' responsibilities for coordinating and managing patient care; research, the importance of transferring new information into practice and the effectiveness of applications; the purpose of the nurse, the importance of the nurse, the characteristics of the nurse, the nursing process, the duty of the nurse, the responsibilities of the nurse, the nursing care and the management of nursing services
