Abstract

Expectations of a student that wants to make graduate education differs widely. Conversely, the fields they choose or they get in graduate education can be unsuitable with these expectations.
The possibility of finding a job that is related to his field of study is very limited for a student who has graduated from faculties of fine arts or departments of visual arts. The effect of graduate education on the probability of finding a job is also an incitement for students to make higher education. With such incitements, some graduates, who were unable to reach the aims at their desired field of study, are starting to make higher education in fields like picture, statue, ceramics, graphics etc. Are the students’ expectations from higher education in harmony with their real goals or not?
With this study, by taking into account the opinions of students, it is aimed to reveal the expectations of higher education students from this education process and the degree of realization of these expectations.
