TOURISM AND MIGRATION: THE CASE OF ANTALYA PROVINCE

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the tourism potential of Antalya province together with the internal migration rates between 2022-2013. For this purpose, the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism were used within the scope of the research.

As a result of the study; It is seen that the population of Antalya has increased continuously in the last 10 years and the net migration rate is always positive. In addition to the increasing population with migration, it can be said that the tourism activities of the province have developed positively over the years. It is noteworthy that Antalya receives the most immigration from metropolitan cities, surrounding and nearby cities.
