Abstract

Aim: This study aims to discuss how to design the right top cover by examining the Çatalhöyük Project, Zeugma Project, Göbeklitepe and Karatepe-Aslantaş, Arslantepe projects within the scope of the universe of working in archaeological areas. Method: Protective tops built to prevent the negative effects of nature on the archaeological sites and to provide a comfortable working environment for the workers during excavation; The accuracy, specificity and suitability of the preference, which are made in a way that reflects the spirit of conformity, aesthetics and process, according to the criteria determined according to the place and the work (according to the place and the work) were evaluated and evaluated. Results: Research in this part of Çatalhöyük in Turkey Zeugma, Karatepe-Aslantas, protective roof structure in Arslantepe Göbeklitepe and archaeological sites were investigated. As a result of these investigations, it is determined that the designs that aim to make the most use from the regional climate are envisaged to pass the wide openings in order not to damage the archaeological works. Çatalhöyük and Göbeklitepe project steel construction, Karatepe-Aslantaş project in small-size reinforced concrete columns, Arslantepe project on the roof using wooden panels were not damaged historical monuments. At the same time, it is determined that the side of the covering is designed as a folding closure in Çatalhöyük project because it is aimed to make maximum use of the climate in the region. Conclusion: This study emphasizes that topcoats designed in archaeological areas should be carried out according to certain ler criteria Bu. Even if the region and climatic conditions vary, the evaluation of the determined criteria will be guiding during the design of the top cover since the construction purpose and method are the same.
