THE E-GOVERNMENT IMPLEMENTATIONS IN NATIONAL EDUCATION: THE CASE OF FATİH PROJECT IN AYDIN PROVINCE

In 21st century information technologies are used in public administration as well as in all areas. Fatih Project is also one of the practices which had been accomplished previously within the context of e-Government. Within the scope of this project it is performed works and studies on infrastructure of equipment and software of information technologies (IT), e-content requirement and updating the teachers’s guidebooks of institutions like pre-school, primary education secondary stage and secondary education schools.
In this article the issues like implementation of Fatih Project at schools in Aydın and what extent the action was successful have been examined. In this study, a survey has been conducted with 1336 students and 346 teachers in 24 high school in 12 of 17 district of Aydın. Through the survey study Fatih Project’s useful and deficient ways has been determined and teacher’s and student’s assessments has been considered for more successful implementation of this project. Thus, this study is different from other studies related to Fatih Project due to the scale of the work done in Aydın, different districts’s contribution to study and the huge number of people who play in part in study.
