The aim of this study is to examine disabled individuals’ access to educational right in Turkey within the context of national and international conventions, declarations, and laws. The fact that people with disabilities are among the disadvantaged groups since they have special needs requires a careful approach in making them a part of society and in educational activities. In this literature review, official documents related to disabled individuals were gathered, and definitions of being disabled and numerical data on disability were explored. The review was written with a deductive perspective by following a path going from disabled people’s socioeconomic and historical positions to their right to education based on the national and international documents. As a result of the review, various recommendations for both practitioners and researchers were developed on disabled individuals’ access to the educational right
