Health institutions have been the most important institutions in terms of human health from past to present. The main purpose of health institutions is to protect and increase the health of individuals and communities. In addition to this aim, it is also important to increase the inclusiveness, accessibility, equity, effectiveness and efficiency of the service. In this article, the concept of efficiency in terms of health institutions is discussed. First of all, productivity is the ratio between the products and services (output) produced in a certain period of a production or service process and the production resources (input) used to realize this production. As a service business, the efficiency issue in hospitals includes differences compared to other businesses. The output put forward by the hospitals does not include physical dimensions, and it is very difficult to measure with certain standards.
