A UNIT WITH CONJUNCTION FUNCTION IN TURKISH: BİLEMEDİN / BİLEMEDİNİZ

Lexical phrases consist of two elements such as “supportive” and the others as “main / head”. In addition, there are a number of phrases whose elements are identical. Conjunctional phrases are also considered among the lexical phrases whose elements are identical. Same as other units which have a conjuction function, conjuction of bilemedin / bilemediniz binds words, phrases, sentences, or two equivalent elements in an element of a phrase. In this study, the syntactic and semantic features of conjunctional phrase with bilemedin / bilemediniz are discussed. Besides linking words syntactically, bilemedin / bilemediniz has connected with “number phrases” and "adjectival determinative groups" which consists numeral adjectives. In addition, it has also been emphasized that the two identical elements of “prepositional phrase”, “ablative phrase”, “noun phrase” and “adjectival determinative groups” connect together as conjunction unit in this study. Further, bilemedin / bilemediniz, wherein the plurality of numerical values or expressions linking, meaning aspect, "guessing" and "reporting the highest probability of realization" was used.
