THE EVALUATION OF BATMAN CITY’S ECONOMIC STATE IN GENERAL

Abstract

Batman, located in southern-east part of Turkey, is a city which has different economic potentials. Even though when we look at its current situation it looks like an underdeveloped city, it differs from the cities in the region with the economic qualities it has. Batman’s economy essentially relies on agriculture, stock-breeding and petroleum. Batman city has economic potential that no other cities in the region has. Therefore Batman city is examined in detail to get better idea about city’s economic potential. In the end of our evaluations, we figured that economic figures of Batman city indicate improvements compared to the past, however it seems it still doesn’t use its potential fully
