The aim of the research is to reveal the criteria for the qualifications and career backgrounds that school administrators should have in the selection process. 8 school principals in Bismil district of Diyarbakır province were selected as a sample. The research consists of five units. According to the research results; "Who should be the school administrator?" The opinions of the participants to the question “Selecting the school administrators of those who have teaching experience in the public or private sector and individuals who have previously received training in this field.” is in the direction. "How should the school administrator be determined?" In the question, 3 of the participants said, "There should be selection criteria in determining the school administrator." they used the phrase. Based on the answers given by the participants regarding the criteria for determining the school administrators to start their duties, 3 types of opinions were expressed at the general level. These; selection, assignment-placement and assignment. In the research, they used the expression "completed postgraduate education" in the questions asked to determine the criteria for career and experience status of school administrator candidates. “What qualifications should the school administrator have?” The opinions of the participants in the question “Impartial, leader, social, smiling, strong in communication, dressing stylish…” were answered, “What characteristics should a professional school administrator have?” In the question, they used the expressions "The school administrator has the skills and qualifications to be impartial, leader, fair and strong in order to catch the benevolence in his position".
