SUGGESTIONS FOR THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM OF YOUTH (NEIY) IN EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING IN LINE WITH THE YOUTH GUARANTEE PROGRAM

Abstract

Increasing production capacity and employment level is very important for development of each country. The fact that some of the labor cannot be included in the production committee has raised the problem of unemployment. In recent years, the first and foremost economic problem is derived from young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) rates. It is obvious that this problem will cause more serious troubles in the long run in our country where large majority of the population formed by young generation. However, the number of studies on this subject is quite low. In this study, NEET profile in Turkey; gender, age, education, active-clause are examined according to the criteria. In addition, in order to reduce the rate of NEET by directing these young people to education or employment, suggestions were provided in line with the Youth Guarantee Program.
