DETERMINATION OF JOB SATISFACTION AND BURNOUT LEVELS OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS

The aim of this study is to investigate the job satisfaction and burnout levels of school principals working in the Kozlu District of Zonguldak Province. The working group has chosen to achieve this aim; all school principals working in the Kozlu District of Zonguldak Province were determined. Twenty of the 26 school principals in the district agreed to participate in the study and the study was conducted with twenty school principals.
In the research designed in the relational survey model, the data were hand-delivered to the participants and collected back in the same way as the “personal information form”, “Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale”, and “School Principals Burnout Scale”, developed by the researcher. The arithmetic mean was used in the analysis of the results obtained.
It was observed that there was no significant difference according to the job satisfaction and burnout levels of the school principals and the variables of professional seniority, age, and educational status. In addition, it can be said that the job satisfaction level of school principals is above average.
