JUSTICE QUALIFICATIONS IN NEF’Î'S POEMS

Abstract

When the divan literature is evaluated in terms of centuries, 17th-century poetry differs both in terms of content and in terms of the artists who produced works in this period. The important poets of this century are known for their handling of many issues, including the social and political structure of the period in which they lived. One of the poets of the period, Nef, has a structure that differs from other poets with its unique features. This feature of Nef, known as the most important satire and ode poet of Divan literature, comes from his sharp language as much as the subject he deals with in his poems. This aspect of Nef's life, which has taken over his life, has sometimes moved in the opposite direction. The poet's ode to many statesmen and the praise expressions he uses in the eulogy, which is a part of these odes, is another aspect of his mastery of ode. Justice, which is one of the elements that Nef has dealt with in his poems for statesmen, has been characterized by different expressions by the poet. Considering the mastery of these qualifications in the bikr-i meaning of the poet, it becomes clear how much importance he attached to this issue. In our study, the qualifications of justice that Nef had used in his poems addressed to statesmen were determined, and it was exhibited how these qualifications were presented with literary arts.
