The transformation of education for the global information economy along with technology has affected music education, as well. This effect has changed music education methods since technology became a necessity in musical creation, production, expression, distribution, and consumption processes. Online, asynchronous, and music software are among popular education applications for teenagers and youngsters. This popularity leads the teachers to spend more time on online, synchronous, or asynchronous music lessons. Nowadays, as teaching online has been adapted well by most people, it also enables teachers to create a virtual classroom environment for piano education. Since online education has features such as video calls, screen, and material sharing, it has changed the perception of time and place of regular and traditional education and made online teaching quite favorable. Thanks to these opportunities, piano education has leveled up and become more accessible, fast, practical, and comfortable with the opportunity of personalizing it synchronously or asynchronously. This study is focused on the transformation and improvement of piano education thanks to technology. The aim of this study is to analyze the change of music education in terms of online, synchronous, asynchronous, and collective lessons and its practicality, as well as its relationship with the social media and the physical structure of the piano as an instrument in the future.
