Semantics is the science that puts the indicator at the center of the main field of interest, the indicators, and the way they work. Semiology looks at how the meaning is created. Ferdinand de Saussure and Charles Sanders Peirce, who lived in the 19th century, have gained weight from the 20th century on the question of how semantics are created.
In this work, the study of the theory of semiotics of Christian Metz, which opened a new era in film theory, has been examined, with the works of Roland Barthes, Christian Metz, Pier Paolo Pasolini and Umberto Eco. Metz has begun examining the material conditions that make the cinema, as well as making use of the theorists before him in cinema theory. Metz gave this initiative the name of cinematography.
In this study, "Ayhan Hanim", which Levent Semercisi told about the period of September 12 using metaphors, has been studied in terms of semantics and in terms of the meanings of the symbols used in films. Metz's metrology approach was utilized when the review was conducted.
