Abstract

Although general aviation shows many activities, hot air balloons are among the ones that attract the most attention. The hot air balloon, which is stated to have been discovered in the 1900s, started operating in Turkey in 1984.

The aim of the study is to discuss the digitalization process of the activities of hot air ballooning in business processes from the past to the present. The study was limited by the region-Turkey Nevşehir Cappadocia. The digital transformation of Turkish Aeronautical Association Gökçen Aviation, which has been operating in the region for many years, has been examined. An in-depth examination was carried out with the interview technique using the qualitative research method. The study, it is aimed to complete the digital change gap in business processes in general aviation in the literature. As a result of the research, digital transformation of hot air balloon activities; communication, customer finding and reservation, and flight records.
