Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the application of home education service according to teachers’ views and the observation of the application environment. The observations and interviews as qualitative research methods were used in the phenomenological design. The sample of the study was composed of 39 teachers who had worked for home education services in 2017-2018 academic years. In addition, 10 observations were realized in environments of home education services. The data were obtained by semi-structured interview and observation forms prepared by the researchers. The data were analyzed via content analysis and descriptive analysis techniques. Some of the results which are obtained at the end of the study are as follows: Due to the teachers haven’t received any in-service education about home education service, they should be educated about this service; even the suitability of home education environment is generally sufficient, some deficiencies are available; the interactions of teachers and students are at sufficient level; the students are happy about the education process; all stakeholders in the implementation of home education service should be in cooperation
