In this study, the effect of special training protocols to be applied to 21 women athletes / students who study in the first year of Dicle University School of Physical Education and Sports Training Program and who take basketball lessons on the speed and agility parameters were investigated.
Zigzag and hexagonal test techniques were used to collect data. Pretests were performed after determining the age, height and body weight of both groups. Afterwards, plyometric and directional changing running exercises were applied to the experimental group for 8 weeks. The control group only continued basketball training. Post-test measurements were made to both groups at the end of 8 weeks.
A statistical significance was found between the first and last test values of the experimental group. There was no significant difference in the control group. Significant differences were found between the post-test measurement comparisons of the experimental and control groups.
As a result; It has been determined that 8-week special training protocols have an impact on the speed and agility parameters of women athletes.
