Abstract

Physical activity is defined as any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles resulting in energy expenditure. Physical
fitness is a set of qualities that relate to health or skill. The degree to which people possess these characteristics can be measured
by specific tests.
This study aimed to reveal the physical activity competence of Private Security students of Kocaeli University Hereke Ömer
İsmet Uzunyol Vocational School. According to the findings of the study, when the means of physical activity competence of
the students were examined in detail, it was seen that physical activity adequacy decreased with increasing activity intensity
and duration in all dimensions. It was found that the physical activity adequacy scores of the students differed according to the
variables of gender and frequency of physical activity, and did not differ statistically according to the variables of age, class
and type of sport.
