AESTHETIC AS A NATIONAL AND MORAL VALUE

Abstract

With the westernization movements that started in the last period of the Ottoman Empire, national values were seriously eroded and unfortunately, serious Turkish art and aesthetics could not be built during the republic period. Our artists who went to education in Europe could not go beyond the imitation of art they saw there and despite all the incentives of the governments, Turkish art could not get rid of the westernization. In our country until the 1930s aesthetic books “Bediiyyat” was published under the name. However, with the effect of publications translated from European languages, today's aesthetic books do not contain any subject or source that can be called national. Is there an aesthetic understanding of Mimar Sinan who gives great works such as Selimiye and Süleymaniye Although we have local resources to answer the question, has not yet been translated into modern Turkish and added to the literatüre? The subject of this study; As in many other fields of science, our own resources and aesthetics in the field of our own grandfather to transfer the remaining youth to our youth and aesthetic issues in our own resources to examine the national and spiritual value. The aim of this study is to investigate the old art and science books that can be gained in our current literature about aesthetic science and to examine avant-garde approaches that will contribute to today's modern aesthetic science. The definition of beauty as the main problems of aesthetics as a method, material and spiritual beauty, the relativity of aesthetics, the concept of national and universalism in art and aesthetics will be handled and examined together with our national and spiritual values. As a result, it is seen that the information about the beauty, aesthetics and art in our old sources are the avant-garde approaches to today's modern aesthetic science. The importance of bringing our own resources, which is a rich wealth of information, to the present day is obvious.
