A DETERMINATION OF RESILIENCE LEVELS OF PRIVATE SECURITY AND GUARDING PROGRAM STUDENTS

This research was conducted on vocational school students to measure their levels of resilience. The Brief Resilience Scale was
applied in this research which was originally developed by Smith et al (2008) and adapted to Turkish by Doğan (2015). The
scale was applied to 90 students studying in the private security and guarding program of Kocaeli University and the data were
analyzed with SPSS 16 program. The result of research that students are at an intermediate level of resilience and gender, age,
parental education status, number of siblings, and was found to show statistically significant differences according to income
status variables.
