The aim of this research is to compare the educational programs of the institutions that give master’s degree religious music education in Turkey and the United States by examining them in terms of target and content. The sampling of the research consisted of eight graduate programs in both countries, which gave a master's degree in religious music and was randomly selected. The information about the objectives and contents of the educational programs of these institutions have been reached from the official websites of the institutions. Qualitative data obtained about corporate structure, program objectives, course schedules were converted into quantitative data, and were presented in tables and graphics by making frequency analyses. By interpretation of these quantitative data in accordance with the determined sub-problems, it is concluded that the programs, which give religious music education in Turkey and in USA, differ rather than resembling in terms of target and content
