INVESTIGATION OF DOCTORAL THESES ON OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY IN TURKEY BETWEEN 2004-2021

This study was carried out with the aim of examining doctoral theses related to occupational health and safety from various aspects such as year, university, field of study, research approaches, sample size and data collection tools. This research was carried out using document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. The documents examined in this research are 37 doctoral theses made in the field of occupational health and safety between 2004-2021 in accordance with the purpose of the research. The data collected through document analysis in the research were analyzed by content analysis method. According to the results of the research, the most theses were prepared in 2019, and the universities that prepared the most theses were Istanbul University and Gazi University. It has been seen that the study subjects of the theses are mainly health, labor economics and engineering. It has been determined that quantitative research types are more common in theses, and questionnaires and document analysis are used as data collection tools. The number of samples, on the other hand, was seen in the majority of theses that did not use samples in the related examinations
